Morguard’s The Heathview, located in mid-town Toronto, has been recognized again for excellence in a purpose-built rental development, this time as co-winner of the New Development of the Year Award by the Canadian Federation of Apartments Association (CFAA).
CFAA represents the owners and managers of close to one million residential rental suites in Canada, through 11 associations.
In December, The Heathview was awarded the 2015 Rental Development of the Year by the Federation of Rental-Housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO). The FRPO MAC Awards recognize Ontario’s top landlords and property managers for excellence in the rental housing industry.
The Heathview is comprised of two 30-storey towers located in Forest Hill Village. It is the first new rental development of its kind to have emerged in that neighbourhood in more than forty years.
“The Awards underscore the value that The Heathview brings to this community,” said Brian Athey, Vice President of Development at Morguard. “The new LEED-designed towers replaced two older 1950s end-of-life rental buildings. The Heathview provides a sound and secure alternative to the condo market and offers a range of mid-market to luxury suites in a prime location to accommodate the market demand.”
The CFAA awards also recognized Renovation of the Year, Employee of the Year, New Product or Service of the Year, and Association Achievement of the Year.
