SNC-Lavalin ProFac Gulf Management (SLPGM), a joint venture by SNC-Lavalin and Nasser Bin Khaled Al-Thani & Sons Holding Company (NBK), has been awarded a three-year contract from Msheireb Properties to manage Qatar’s Msheireb Downtown Doha project.

The total integrated facilities management contract carries two one-year extension options and includes operations management; contract management; finance and costs performance management; energy, water and environmental management and other services for the more than 100 buildings within the property.

Msheireb Downtown Doha will comprise commercial and residential properties, including retail, cultural and entertainment areas. It is part of the world’s first sustainable downtown regeneration project, the QR20 billion development, a 31-hectare project to revitalize and preserve the historical centre of Doha.

“We are proud to play a key role in this sustainable landmark regeneration project that is central to the continued development of Qatar and that will preserve the historical downtown of Doha,” said SNC-Lavalin Group’s Ian L. Edwards, executive vice-president, Infrastructure Sector, in a press release.
