Electrical product distributor Lumen is investing $100 million in its new headquarters and distribution centre in Laval, Quebec.

The 385,000-square-foot facility will be built on a nearly 1 million-square-foot property. As part of the headquarters, a 245,000-square-foot distribution centre will be established. The building will be LEED certified.

“The fact that they are settling in Laval is a testament to our hosting strategy, which builds on the presence of municipal and privately-held industrial parks,” says Laval Mayor Marc Demers. “Over the years, the City of Laval has made significant investments to set up an industrial hosting infrastructure that provides a framework conducive to corporate development.”

Construction will start in June 2014, and is slated for completion in April 2015.
