The Bulgarian Facility Management Association (BGFMA) has joined the IFMA Alliance to become the third member of a partnership between the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and other facility management (FM) groups.

The partnership will provide BGFMA members access to educational and credential programs offered by IFMA.

“We are working hard to disseminate the FM ideas and standards, and this partnership will boost our efforts,” says BGFMA chairman, Goran Milanov. “Being able to work closely with IFMA will speed up our journey to FM maturity and reinforce our position of Balkan centre of FM excellence.”

Established to better the profession of facility management globally, the IFMA Alliance provides members of global facility-related organizations such as BGFMA and former IFMA component groups with select IFMA member benefits directed at individual skill development. Members of IFMA Alliance organizations become “custom” members of IFMA. They have the ability to determine what information they wish to share with, and receive from, IFMA based on their unique individual needs.

Adding new professionals to the IFMA alliance will further improve the “resources and knowledge pool” offered to members, says IFMA president and CEO, Tony Keane.

Other IFMA Alliance members include Facility Management Nederland (FMN) and the Health Care Institute, both of which were inducted into the partnership last year.
