Housing starts decline in February: CMHC
Multi-unit urban housing starts reached 86, 214 units in February, shifting downward from the 115, 123 starts reported in January, according to the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s latest Preliminary Housing Start data. February home sales up over last year: TREB
Despite record low temperatures recorded in Toronto this February, home sales increased by 11.3 per cent on an annual basis, according to the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB). Leaside retirement community awaits approval
Canadian company VIVA Retirement Communities hopes a zoning by-law amendment proposal will be approved to make way for an eight-storey rental retirement building and a seven-storey condominium for seniors in the Leaside community of Toronto, Ont. Unsold T.O. condo units reach 21-year high: BMO
According to a report from Sal Guatieri of BMO Financial Group, the number of unsold condo units in Toronto soared to levels not seen in 21 years this January. Guatieri, a Senior Economist at BMO, predicts that the rise in unsold condos, which reached 1,602 units, will slow the increase of new condo prices.
