Renovations are underway to preserve the Sundergreen Apartments, a low-income complex in Kamloops, British Columbia.

The two buildings, which house 70 low-income families and individuals, are undergoing an urgently needed $3.9-million renovation. They require a roof replacement, exterior wall repairs, balcony upgrades and interior floor improvements.

Funds for the work is coming from the federal and provincial governments, through the B.C. Investment in Affordable Housing initiative.

“The renovations to Sundergreen will extend the life of the buildings and keep these affordable homes available in Kamloops for years to come,” says Terry Lake, Minister of Health and Member of the Legislative Assembly for Kamloops – North Thompson.
