Wednesday, August 20, 2014

Synergy Properties Ltd. has bought Vancouver Island’s Mill Bay Shopping Centre. The 90,000-square-foot mall was acquired by the privately held, B.C.-based real estate company in an off-market sale completed July 31.

The multi-tenanted, mixed-use centre features a 26,000-square-foot Thrifty Foods outlet, a provincial government liquor store and a free-standing Island Savings branch. Located at 368-2720 Mill Bay Road, the mall serves the Mill Bay, Cowichan Valley and Shawnigan Lake communities. This location also places the 8.14-acre property 35 minutes north of Victoria on the Trans Canada Highway.

The centre’s sale was facilitated by Ken Cloak, associate vice president, Colliers Victoria, and Robert Down, associate, Colliers Greater Vancouver Area.

Since 1994, Synergy Properties Ltd. has acquired or developed a range of projects valued in excess of $1 billion.
