Worldwide cleaning industry association ISSA has launched a new online course to help cleaners combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The virtual seminar, by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a division of ISSA, will train participants how to prepare for, respond to, and recover from biohazards in the workplace, including control measures for infectious-disease outbreaks such as COVID-19. The course also includes information on the origin, symptoms, and treatment of COVID-19 along with any information useful for cleaners who may have to deal with areas contaminated with the virus.

The GBAC Fundamentals Online Course is available at www.issa.com/gbac-fundamentals and costs US$150 for ISSA members, and US$300 for non-members.

GBAC will provide a certificate of completion to participants who complete the course within 30 days of enrolment.
