The Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) reported 11,992 sales through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) system for June 2015, breaking records for the month.

Last month was record-breaking for the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV), which reported its highest sales ever for the month of June.

The Metro Vancouver market remained competitive in May, leading to upward pressure on home prices, especially in the detached home segment.

Realtors have reported 5,661 GTA home sales through the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) MLS System between June 1 and 14.

The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has updated its home sales activity forecast for 2015 and 2016.

Greater Toronto Area REALTORS® have reported a 9.6 per cent year-over-year increase in home sales during the first two weeks of May, according to TREB.

For the first time since 2012, low-rise sales have outpaced high-rise sales in the GTA for the first two months of the year, according to the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD). Up nine per cent from last year, new high-rise sales reached 1,333 units in February while low-rise sales totaled 1,465 units, a 17 per cent year-over-year increase.

The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has released its monthly sales statistics and national home sales increased by one per cent from January to February 2015. Greater Vancouver, the Okanagan region, and Greater Toronto led the nation’s sales while over half of other local markets posted declines.

As oil prices continue to decline and the Canadian dollar weakens, the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has adjusted its 2015 resale housing forecast and extended it to 2016. The national forecast has been revised to reflect fewer sales. Currently, CREA is forecasting a total of 475,700 unit sales in 2015, an annual decline of 1.1 per cent.

According to data from the Ottawa Real Estate Board, a total of 853 residential properties were sold in Ottawa during the month of February, a decrease of 1.7 per cent from the year prior. The sales figure is also below the five-year average for February, which is 914 units.

Despite record low temperatures recorded in Toronto this February, home sales increased by 11.3 per cent on an annual basis, according to the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB). A total of 6,338 home sales were registered through the TorontoMLS system and increases were seen across most major housing types.

National home sales fell 3.1 per cent from December of last year to January 2015, according to the latest month-over-month analysis from the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). Although fewer sales were recorded in approximately 60 per cent of all housing markets, the country’s weakest markets altered national totals significantly. These regions included Edmonton, Sask. and Calgary, Alta.

With 39,736 transactions, the new home industry created thousands of jobs for Canadians while ensuring further job retention for years to come, says the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD).

The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) recently announced that national home sales decreased on a month-over-month basis in December 2014. According to the trade association, home sales fell 5.8 per cent from November to December, but rose 7.9 per cent from the same period in 2013.

At the end of the 2014 calendar year, Greater Toronto Area home sales, reported through the TorontoMLS system, registered a 6.7 per cent increase over the 2013 sales figure, according to the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB). In 2014, a total of 92,867 sales were recorded, with 4,446 of them taking place in December.

According to the latest data from the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), Canadian home sales increased, year-over-year, by 2.7 per cent in November. Similarly, the average national sale price rose 5.7 per cent when compared with data from November 2013.
