GTA high-rise sales up over last year: BILD
For the first time since 2012, low-rise sales have outpaced high-rise sales in the GTA for the first two months of the year, according to the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD). Up nine per cent from last year, new high-rise sales reached 1,333 units in February while low-rise sales totaled 1,465 units, a 17 per cent year-over-year increase.

CREA adjusts national resale housing forecast
As oil prices continue to decline and the Canadian dollar weakens, the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has adjusted its 2015 resale housing forecast and extended it to 2016. The national forecast has been revised to reflect fewer sales. Currently, CREA is forecasting a total of 475,700 unit sales in 2015, an annual decline of 1.1 per cent.

Ottawa home sales down in February: OREB
According to data from the Ottawa Real Estate Board, a total of 853 residential properties were sold in Ottawa during the month of February, a decrease of 1.7 per cent from the year prior. The sales figure is also below the five-year average for February, which is 914 units.

February home sales up over last year: TREB

National home sales fell 3.1 per cent from December of last year to January 2015, according to the latest month-over-month analysis from the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). Although fewer sales were recorded in approximately 60 per cent of all housing markets, the country’s weakest markets altered national totals significantly. The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) recently announced that national home sales decreased on a month-over-month basis in December 2014. According to the trade association, home sales fell 5.8 per cent from November to December, but rose 7.9 per cent from the same period in 2013.

T.O. home sales, prices increase in 2014: TREB
At the end of the 2014 calendar year, Greater Toronto Area home sales, reported through the TorontoMLS system, registered a 6.7 per cent increase over the 2013 sales figure, according to the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB). In 2014, a total of 92,867 sales were recorded, with 4,446 of them taking place in December.

Home sales up from November last year: CREA
According to the latest data from the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), Canadian home sales increased, year-over-year, by 2.7 per cent in November. Similarly, the average national sale price rose 5.7 per cent when compared with data from November 2013.
