The Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) has announced the winners for its 2017 National Awards for Housing Excellence, which highlight the best new homes, new communities and home renovations across the country.
Thirty-nine National Awards for Housing Excellence were presented at the CHBA’s 74th National Conference, which took place in St. John’s, N.L.
The top two awards for cumulative results in the New Home and Marketing categories were won by Vancouver-based companies. Adera Development Corporation of Vancouver, B.C. received the design Excellence Award for their results in the new home categories. Adera was also the recipient of two individual New Home Awards for Attached – Mid-to-High-Rise Condominium or Apartment Project, and for Apartment Style/Condominium Units under 1,000 square feet.
Concert Properties Ltd. was presented with the Marketing Excellence Award for their overall success in the marketing categories. Concert received individual Marketing Awards for Direct Promotion – Electronic and for Brochure/Kit.
RND Construction and Christopher Simmonds Architect of Ottawa, Ont. received New Home Awards for both custom and production detached homes. Vicky’s Homes of Edmonton, Alta. and RDC Fine Homes of Whistler, B.C. were recipients of awards in both the New Home and Marketing categories. My House Design/Build Team Ltd. of Surrey, B.C., and Kon-strux Developments and Ultimate Renovations, both from Calgary, Alta. received two awards in home renovation categories.
“Our award winners represent the best of the best in new homes, home renovations, community development and marketing across Canada and the housing industry takes great pride in their accomplishments,” said Eric DenOuden, CHBA president, in a press release.
