WWF-Canada’s Living Planet @ Work (LP@W) program, which recognizes efforts in spearheading innovative employee engagement and sustainability initiatives in the workplace recently honoured Bentall Kennedy (Canada) as Company of the Year for the second year in a row.

The real estate giant was also the Top Fundraiser for 2015 Spring Things Campaign. Employees dove into the cold waters of Lake Ontario and climbed the CN Tower’s 1,776 steps to support conservation. Overall the company raised more than $30,000 for WWF’s work.

“We really value our relationship with WWF; their programs provide a great focal point for our employee engagement and environmental fundraising efforts,” said Melissa Jacobs, a manager of sustainability at Bentall Kennedy. “We look forward to continuing our participation in Living Planet @ Work in 2016!”

Living Planet @ Work (LP@W) was launched in 2011 with the support of HP Canada to empower environmentally-minded employees to lead footprint reduction initiatives, sustainability awareness campaigns and fundraising for conservation.

More than 1,100 champions from more than 900 companies are using the program. In 2015, workplaces across Canada raised more than $170,000 for WWF’s conservation efforts, and almost $700,000 has been raised for WWF’s work through the Living Planet @ Work program.
