Altree Developments, a new company launched in 2018 by third-generation builder Zev Mandelbaum, has announced three new North American projects, including two in Ontario: 2 Forest Hill Road, in Toronto; and 30 and 44 Zorra Street, in Etobicoke. The third project from the company, West Side Arts, is set to rise in Jersey City, New Jersey.
After acquiring six properties at St. Clair Avenue and Forest Hill Road, 2 Forest Hill Road is set to be a luxury nine-storey mid-rise building housing 75 units ranging from 1,000 to 4,000 square feet, with most units also featuring expansive terraces.
The 30 & 44 Zorra Street development, which is set to rise at The Queensway and Islington Ave. in Etobicoke, only 10 minutes away from downtown Toronto by car, and 15 minutes from Pearson International. The Zorra Street development will rise 35 storeys and span 340,000 square feet of gross residential floor area, offering residents units in studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom configurations.
In Jersey City, New Jersey, the company’s West Side Arts development will consist of five buildings, each accommodating about 500 residential rental units ranging between 450 and 1,300 square feet. The mixed-use development will also feature approximately 50,000 square feet of retail and gallery space.
“It is a great privilege and honour to be able to bring these three iconic projects to life, creating beauty among three distinct neighbourhoods,” says Zev Mandelbaum, president and CEO of Altree Developments, in a press release.
