With close to 700 members, VRCA is British Columbia’s largest and most inclusive regional construction association, representing union and non-union, general and trade contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and other professionals throughout the Lower Mainland from Hope to Whistler.

The gala luncheon was held at Vancouver’s Diamond Ballroom, attended by 130 representatives from local businesses. The event was emceed by CBC Vancouver host, Dan Burritt.

This year a new category was added: Employer of the Year.

“We felt it was important to include this award,” says Danielle Primrose, president and CEO of BBB. “It was a way to recognize businesses that put employee well-being at the same level as productivity and service.”

In 2015 the People’s Pick Award was introduced as a way to engage businesses and consumers. This was done again for 2016 and more than 17,000 consumer votes were cast.
