Renowned Vancouver interior designer Robert Ledingham died May 2, at age 71.

Ledingham, the founder and president of Ledingham Design Consultants, was one of Canada’s top interior designers with a distinguished career. His work has been recognized with numerous awards, including several City of Vancouver Heritage Awards for his contribution to heritage design, and he was inducted into Western Living magazine’s hall of fame. In 2011, Ledingham received the inaugural prestigious 2011 Leadership Award of Excellence from the Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).

Ledingham was a fellow and past president of the Interior Designers Institute of British Columbia (IDIBC) and IDC.
