The UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences building was honoured with Best of Show at the Ontario Association of Architects’ annual awards gala.
This is the fourth major award the building has won since officially opening Sept. 18, 2012.
The project, designed by Saucier + Perrotte Architectes and Hughes Condon Marler Architects, is a state-of-the-art facility that brings together all of the faculty’s teaching, learning, research and outreach under one roof for the first time.
Demonstrating the best in architectural design and innovation, winners of the 2013 OAA Awards feature both Canadian and international projects designed by Ontario architects, ranging from sustainable single-family homes to the redevelopment of key cultural and civic destinations. More than 30 winners in nine categories were recognized at a formal ceremony in Toronto in May.
