NAFA announces Clean Air Award recipients

Friday, October 24, 2014

The National Air Filtration Association (NAFA) presented several Canadian building owners and managers with Clean Air Awards at its annual conference in Aspen, Colorado.

The group was honoured among dozens of companies in North America for efforts to improve indoor air filtration through the use of efficient or upgraded HVAC systems.

The annual awards, which include a trophy, building signage and recognition, are handed out after a NAFA judging committee selects each recipient.

Candidates are nominated by NAFA members and the facility management community after submitting a specific outline showing steps taken towards using better air filtration.

The honour, however, must be maintained as each winner submits inspection data every year.

Canadians named this year’s award recipients include seven Union Gas buildings across Ontario, three Artis REIT buildings in Winnipeg, Man., six buildings in Vancouver, B.C., and four buildings in Calgary, Alta.
