Four contracts have been awarded for the engineering, technical and community relations work leading up to construction of Vancouver’s Massey Tunnel replacement project.

An engineering contract worth $24 million has been awarded to MMM Group Limited, and Sun Coast Consulting have been named as technical advisors with a contract of $22 million.

Hemmera EnviroChem Inc. are environmental advisors with a $9 million contract, and Lucent Strategies Inc. were awarded a $6 million contract to handle community relations.

Construction of the tunnel’s replacement bridge is slated to begin in 2017.
