FAM Real Estate Investment Trust is now known as Slate Office REIT, more than five months since assuming new management under Slate Asset Management.
Slate Office REIT will focus future growth on high quality, non-core assets in both downtown and suburban office markets.
With plans to separate its existing retail and industrial portfolios, Slate Office REIT has already acquired seven office properties in the Greater Toronto Area, which marks its first major step.
For now, Slate Asset Management is helping the REIT’s new leadership team and has worked to create an institutional quality investment vehicle that boosts its management resources.
The Slate Office REIT portfolio currently amounts to 35 well-situated assets across Canada’s major centres.
