The Mosaic Centre For Conscious Community and Commerce in Edmonton is aiming to become the most northerly building to achieve net zero status, meaning that it will generate the amount of energy that it will use in a year. The building also aims to be Alberta’s first Living Building Challenge petal certified building.

The new building will host a mix of offices, a child-care facility, wellness centre, lounge areas, game rooms and a restaurant.

Designed by Edmonton-based Manasc Isaac Architects, the 30,000-square-foot office building is under construction and expected to be completed in May 2015.
