Wednesday, October 4, 2017

Augustine Imade is this year’s winner of the Vyetta Sunderland Scholarship Award, given to a Canadian student who is in pursuit of advancing his or her property management career or entering the property management field.

BOMI Canada with the support of BOMI International, established the annual $2,000 scholarship in recognition of Vyetta Sunderland’s focus on excellence and her lifelong commitment to education. Having served as Chairman of BOMI Canada from 1999 to 2004, Vyetta went on to be a long serving member of BOMI International’s Board (2000 to 2015) and served as their Chair from 2008 to 2011.

Imade is the property manager for Keegano Housing Co-operative, one of Edmonton’s oldest housing co-operatives. He is committed to his professional development along with the education of others. As a volunteer teaching undergraduate math and physics, he also volunteers at his church as well as with the United Way.

In response to accepting the award, Imade noted that the scholarship represented an opportunity to fully focus his attention on achieving the best that he can be in property and facility management.

BOMI Canada says he represents the focus and drive characteristic of many BOMI students and would like to congratulate him on being this year’s recipient.
