Riverwood Development Corporation has completed Manitou Lodge Condominiums, an affordable housing complex in Watrous, Sask.
The 24-unit building was funded in part by the Government of Saskatchewan through the HeadStart on a Home program.
HeadStart is an economic initiative designed to help address entry-level housing affordability. Homes and units developed through the program must be priced at or below the average MLS sale price of listings in the region.
“HeadStart is helping municipalities and their partner developers create new homeownership opportunities for moderate-income households,” says Greg Brkich, Member of the Legislative Assembly for Arm River-Watrous. “Our government is proud to work with Riverwood Development Corporation … to help create new entry level housing and help households achieve homeownership.”
Under the HeadStart program, 912 entry-level homes have been constructed or are in progress.
