Winners of 2015 AIBC Awards announced

The 2015 Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC) Architectural Awards honoured 12 recipients, with seven receiving the prestigious Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia Award in Architecture merit.

The seven recipients of the Lieutenant Governor merits were:

  • Vomo Spa, Vomo Island Resort by ABC Architecture Building Culture Inc.
  • Steveston Fire Hall by HCMA Architecture + Design
  • Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon by MGA | Michael Green Architecture (project started at mcfarlane | green | biggar architecture + design)
  • Wood Innovation and Design Centre by MGA | Michael Green Architecture
  • UBC Bookstore Expansion + Renovation by office of mcfarlane biggar architects + designers inc. (omb) 
  • Pitt River Middle School by Perkins+Will Canada Architects Co. 
  • Newton Field House by Public Architecture + Communication Inc.
