Buzz Buzz Home reports that the Entertainment District has the highest level of condo construction in Toronto.
Buzz Buzz Home used a Market Snapshot tool in conjunction with data from Statistics Canada, the Toronto Real Estate Board and the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation to analyze the Toronto areas with the highest levels of condominium construction.
It says that the Entertainment District has 5,656 condo units under construction, accounting for about 12 per cent of all units being built within the city. It reports that an estimated 2,651 completions are scheduled for 2014 with another 2,180 by the end of 2015.
Buzz Buzz Home lists Toronto’s top 10 neighbourhoods, ordered by the number of units under construction, as:

2. Humber Bay
3. Church and Wellesley
4. Willowdale
5. Harbourfront
6. Trinity-Niagara
7. Yonge and Eglinton
8. St. Lawrence
9. The Peanut (Don Mills and Shepphard)
10. The Annex
It reports that in the most notable neighbourhoods, two common themes were identified: public transit and waterfront access. Ontarians, and Torontonians in particular, endure the longest commute times in the country and, as such, many condo developers are building their projects along major transit routes.
