The Government of Alberta announced the final push to complete the Calgary Ring Road project is underway.

The contract for the final portion of the West Calgary Ring Road has been awarded to Calgary Safelink Partners for $277 million.

Construction on Calgary’s southwest ring road is set to begin this spring after the province announced that contracts have been signed for two segments.

Construction of the West Calgary Ring Road is scheduled to begin in 2019, completing the circle around Calgary to alleviate traffic congestion.
