A new survey found 51 per cent of Canadians living in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver would consider buying a primary residence in a more affordable city, if they were able to find a local job or work remotely.

There were slightly more than 200,000 properties listed for sale at the end of May.

Supply will remain an ongoing issue as new supports push more first-time homebuyers to Canada's housing market.
