Ontario has introduced several amendments to the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) and Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) processes through Bill 60 and Bill 97, effective July 1.

Among the changes impacting landlords, Bill 97 includes new protections to limit “renovictions” and introduces changes to the “landlord’s own use” clause.
