Cushman & Wakefield has been selected by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to become the property manager for the World Trade Center site.

Following a competitive request for proposal process, Cushman & Wakefield was awarded the contract to manage and operate the site’s common areas. The facilities include the river water pump house, the central chiller plant and the site’s public plazas. The company will also provide air conditioning to the site’s retail and transportation concourses.

The new World Trade Center complex will contain five skyscrapers. All five buildings are scheduled to open in 2015.
