Monday, April 15, 2013

The Urban Land Institute (ULI), Toronto chapter, has hired Robert Millward to serve as its new executive director.

“ULI is uniquely positioned to bring about thoughtful, meaningful and responsible solutions to manage growth,” says Millward. “We plan on changing the conversation from ‘study’ to practical and actionable ‘practices’.”

ULI Toronto is a non-profit volunteer organization with approximately 600 members. Its goal is to create dialogue on the central growth management issues facing the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

Millward has been a member of ULI for 20 years. He is president of R.E Millward & Associates Ltd., a consulting firm specializing in development, planning and project management services. From 1987 to 1996, he was commissioner of planning and development for the pre-amalgamation City of Toronto.
