QuadReal names senior VP residential

Vancouver-based QuadReal Property Group has announced the appointment of Dean Holmes as senior vice president of residential operations. Holmes will be responsible for QuadReal‘s national property operations, with emphasis on property management, marketing, leasing, resident services and overall portfolio performance.

“Dean has demonstrated experience in all aspects of the residential business, including acquisitions, operations, new development and dispositions,” said Anthony Lanni, QuadReal senior vice president, residential. “He will be an immediate and key contributor to the growth of our residential business, supporting the more than 300 professionals across Canada on our residential team – a team dedicated to delivering peerless service to our residents.”

Holmes has more than 25 years of experience working with some of the best residential operators in the United States and Canada.

Prior to joining QuadReal, Holmes was senior vice president of operations with Campus Apartments, where he oversaw operations for the firm’s national student housing portfolio. Previous to that, he was CEO with Madison Apartment Group, where he oversaw the firm’s national multi-family platform. Earlier, he served as division vice president with Berkshire Property Advisors, where he led operations in multiple U.S. markets.

Holmes holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of Maryland, and is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He is a certified property manager candidate with the Institute of Real Estate Management. He is also a member of the Multifamily Advisory Board for TransUnion and a member of the National Multi Housing Council.
