Owen Sound will soon land its first luxury condo. The Sydenham is a 32-unit development project that will feature 10 units with private elevators. Given the project’s location, in one of Canada’s most popular communities for retirees, it is expected to appeal particularly to baby boomers.
Overlooking the Sydenham River, the complex will offer residents several building amenities and suite features, including:
- Heated indoor parking for up to two vehicles per unit;
- State-of-the-art security systems;
- Terraces and balconies;
- Energy-efficient products to reduce gas emissions;
- High quality fixtures and finishes;
- Outdoor patios;
- Storage options;
- 10-foot-high ceilings;
- Concierge service;
- A fitness room; and
- A multimedia room.
The Sydenham will feature two-bedroom, two-bath layouts, some of which include dens and terraces. Units, which can be tailored to each owner’s needs, will range from 1,053 to 1,527 square feet in size. Eight units remain available for purchase.
Demolition of the site’s existing buildings began in late September. The condominium is scheduled for occupancy in the second half of 2015.
