Osram Sylvania Ltd. has appointed Graham Wark as president, effective immediately.

Wark succeeds James Johnson, who has been named president and general manager of Valeo Sylvania. He assumes overall responsibility for Canadian operations and support functions in all sales channels.

For the past 25 years, Wark has helped expand the Osram Sylvania lighting and service capabilities through numerous managerial and engineering contributions. He started with the company in 1987, as a design engineer in the company’s electronic components and materials’ lead wire plant in Bangor, Maine. Wark worked his way through the organization, earning several leadership positions, including Bangor plant manager, plant manager of the PM&C facility in Exeter, N.H., strategic business unit general manager for HID lighting products in Manchester, N.H., and, most recently, vice-president of Sylvania lighting services.

A graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Wark also attended the Manufacturing Management Institute at Cornell University and completed the Babson College executive education program.
