NAIOP honours commercial real estate

NAIOP Vancouver honours commercial real estate excellence with its 2016 Commercial Real Estate Awards. The gala held in downtown Vancouver was attended by four hundred delegates. Every two years, the awards celebrate excellence in the commercial real estate industry within Metro Vancouver, recognizing quality and performance, innovation and creativity, teamwork and collaboration, as well as community and environmental awareness.

Four developments were singled out for excellence:

Industrial Development: Boundary Bay Industrial Park – Dayhu and CBRE
Phase 2 consisted of a 440k SF building with 36-foot-clear ceilings. It is the largest facility of its kind in the Lower Mainland.

Mixed Use Development: Marine Gateway – PCI (photo above)
Built on a five acre site, this is the first major mixed use project to be directly integrated with the Canada Line. The 820k SF LEED Gold community includes a 14-storey office tower.

Office Development: MNP Tower – Oxford and CPPIB
The 35 storey LEED Gold tower is one of Vancouver’s most significant commercial towers. The tower was built on the last available site in the harbour district of Vancouver’s business core, and covers a total of 395,646 square feet.

Retail Development: McArthurGlen Designer Outlet
It’s the first location in North America for the UK-based designer outlet mall builder. It was named the 2015 best outlet centre in the world by MAIPC, the leading international retail property market which takes place annually in Cannes in the South of France.
