For the second time in three years, the Minto Group has been recognized by the Ontario Home Builders Association (OHBA) as Builder of the Year, an award that honours outstanding professionalism and integrity within the business, industry and community. The real estate development, construction and management company celebrated the news in a press release crediting its ongoing commitment to innovation, ingenuity and the communities in which it operates.

Every year, the Minto Foundation donates to more than 200 charities such as the University of Waterloo’s Faculty of Environment. And this year, Minto’s 180 Kent St. in Ottawa became the location with the most LEED certifications in Canada.

Some of Minto’s most noteworthy projects of the year include:

• Minto Longbranch, the company’s most successful condo debut ever, with more than 350 sales and 8,000 registrants in less than a year;
• Minto Kingmeadow, recognized by the Durham Region Home Builders Association as North Oshawa’s community of the year;
• Minto Orchard Park in Stouffville, which sold 262 homes in less than a year; and
• Minto775 in Toronto, the first building to meet Toronto’s Green Standards Tier 2, a voluntary higher level of environmental performance.
