Wednesday, January 22, 2014

Fengate Capital Management Ltd. has acquired a portfolio of six Class A office properties in Ontario for $220 million.

The properties were acquired through one of Fengate’s real estate managed funds, LPF Realty Inc., which is the real estate arm of the Labourers’ International Union of North America’s Pension Plan.

Located in Burlington and Oakville, the properties represent a total of 784,424 square feet. As part of the transaction, Fengate also acquired an 11-acre parcel of land.

“This was a unique opportunity for LPF Realty Inc. to acquire a portfolio of well located, Class A office buildings,” says Lou Serafini Jr., president and CEO of Fengate Capital.

Fengate also recently announced that it sold an industrial portfolio in Cambridge, Ontario, in December 2013, through LPF Realty Inc. The 290,544-square-foot complex sold for $20.61 million. The development’s six multi-tenant buildings had a 92 per cent occupancy rate.
