Calgary has Canada’s most expensive parking

Calgary has the most expensive parking rates in Canada, according to a survey conducted by commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield.

The survey looked at the monthly downtown rates across the country. Calgary’s surface and underground parking lots in the city’s core have a monthly average of $473. In comparison, this is nearly double the national average of the top 12 major markets, which is $251.

Following Calgary is Montreal, where monthly downtown parking set drivers back $344 on average. Rounding out the country’s highest monthly parking prices are Toronto at $315, Edmonton with $306, and Vancouver at $302.
