Brookfield Asset Management Inc. has appointed Kim Redding to the position of chief investment strategist.
Redding was previously the CEO of Brookfield Investment Management. He comes to his new role with more than 30 years of investment experience.
“We are pleased Kim has taken on the role of Brookfield’s chief investment strategist,” says Brookfield CEO, Bruce Flatt. “We believe his expanded role will enhance our ability to both earn superior risk-adjusted returns and communicate our strategies to our clients.”
In his new role, Redding will work with Brookfield’s investments across its more than $175 billion of assets.
“Real assets are poised to become a prominent component of investor allocations in coming years. With over 100 years of real asset experience, Brookfield is well-positioned to champion the benefits of the asset class and provide value-added investment opportunities,” says Redding. “I am excited to help shape these opportunities and share Brookfield’s expertise with our clients.”
Redding will retain his position as co-chief investment officer of Brookfield’s public securities platform.
Brookfield Asset Management is a global asset manager whose assets are concentrated in office properties, renewable power facilities, infrastructure and private equity.
