Anthem has acquired three industrial income producing properties in Calgary, with a fourth under firm and binding contract.

Together, 635 46th Ave NE, 4155 75th Ave SE, and 4905 77th Ave SE represent a combined 176,000 square feet of gross leasable area on 8.25 acres of land. These three assets are currently 100 per cent leased to a diverse tenant roster, reflecting their strategic locations in the Greenview and Foothills industrial nodes of the city. Anthem also has an additional industrial asset of approximately 77,000 square feet in GLA under firm and binding contract to purchase this summer.

“Anthem is quite pleased to announce the completion of this transaction as it serves to accomplish a number of strategic objectives for our organization,” says Jordan Carlson, investment director at Anthem. “It marks a re-entry into industrial real estate as an asset class for us as Calgary’s economy continues to show strong signs of recovery. It further diversifies our portfolio and expands our existing income-property platform in Alberta.”

This latest acquisition affirms Anthem’s ongoing commitment to Alberta as an excellent place to live and do business.

Anthem has more than 200 residential, commercial and retail projects with an aggregate value of more than $5 billion across Western North America. It owns, co-owns and manages more than 65 commercial properties, 4.4 million square feet of retail, industrial, residential rental and office space.
