The Building Owners and Managers Association of British Columbia (BOMA BC) helds its biennial Awards of Excellence gala May 16 at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in downtown Vancouver.
The esteemed event showcased a full range of awards: TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year); EARTH (for environmentally conscious buildings); PINNACLES (for suppliers); Building Operations Team of the Year; Tenant Improvement of the Year; and the President’s Award.
This year’s winners are:
- TOBY Award – Regional Shopping Centre category: Capilano Mall, Bentall Kennedy (Canada) LP
- TOBY Award – 500,000 to 1 million square feet category: Park Place, GWL Realty Advisors Inc.
- TOBY Award – 100,000 to 249,999 square feet category: Robson Court, GWL Realty Advisors Inc.
- TOBY Award – Suburban Office Park category: Broadway Tech Centre, Bentall Kennedy (Canada) LP
- TOBY Award – Corporate Facility category: Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, GWL Realty Advisors Inc.
- EARTH Award: 885 West Georgia, Cadillac Fairview Corp. Ltd.
- PINNACLE Award – Innovation category: Concord Security Corp.
- PINNACLE Award – Customer Service category: Paladin Security
- Building Operations Team of the Year: GWL Realty Advisors Inc. (suburban team)
- Tenant Improvement of the Year Award: Renovation of JJ Bean at the Marine Building, Oxford Properties Group
- President’s Award: Terry Lake
