Voith Industrial Services announced last week that it has won a major facilities management contract for Jaguar Land Rover’s new Wolverhampton-based engine manufacturing centre in a competitive tender. The contract covers cleaning, waste management, landscaping, grounds maintenance and winter services.
The leading service provider to the UK automotive industry will gradually take on facility management responsibilities, which also include the maintenance of boilers, heating and ventilation systems, as the centre gets its services up and running.
As well, Jaguar Land Rover has extended Voith’s contracts at its UK manufacturing plants in Solihull, Castle Bromwich and Halewood. The contracts cover services ranging from office and janitorial cleaning to technical cleaning in paint shops.
“We have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Jaguar Land Rover and are obviously delighted that it will continue in the future,” said Phil Spencer, sales and business director, Voith. “The recent expansion of Jaguar Land Rover into new markets, and their introduction of new model, makes Jaguar a strategically important customer, and we hope we can build on this success over the coming years.”
