Goodge Place has opened on West 8th Avenue in Vancouver’s South Granville district. From the owners of luxury tile outfitter World Mosaic, Goodge Place offers curated home décor, gifts, fresh cut flowers and custom tiles. A true neighborhood destination, the store will include a coffee bar and a custom tile gallery upstairs as well as a designated design ‘lab’ that designers can reserve to hold private meetings. The product lines are largely European sourced, mostly exclusive to Goodge Place.

Co-founder Emily McLean, (with her mother Patricia McLean, owner of World Mosaic), recently moved back to Vancouver after living in London, England for over a decade. The mother-daughter team will present cutting edge luxury art and design brands – including English cult brand, House of Hackney; Jake Phipps and Dr. Vranjes Home Fragrances to mention a few. Community connections are an important part of the store concept, a reason why Goodge Place will also carry local and emerging design.

Goodge Place is a natural extension of the World Mosaic brand, pioneers of handmade and artistic tile in the South Granville neighborhood for over 40 years. The store will be located a stone’s throw from the original World Mosaic showroom. Says Patricia McLean, co-founder, ‘In addition to the increasingly exciting energy of the South Granville area, ever-growing as a design retail destination, we wanted Goodge Place to be in a community that has been good to us, and that we call home.”
