The Riverside neighbourhood in Windsor, Ont. will soon be home to a $10 million condominium development known as Rivertown Terrace Condominiums. The project, which will feature a four-storey, 50-unit building and six townhouses, will be built by Valente Home Development.
Ranging in size from 900 to 1,400 square feet, the units will be mostly two-bedroom suites with balconies and patios. Units, which are geared toward retirees, will range from $114,900 to $190,000.
“There are a lot of people who have been (in Riverside) for 40 years and are looking to move out of their homes, but want to stay in the vicinity,” says Ida Sproule, a Valente sales representative. “There are not a lot of options in Riverside and people still like the option of ownership. People are looking to make more of a lateral move to a place where they can lock the door and go down south for three months.”
Walkable area amenities include shopping plazas, grocery stores and banks. Sproule says that the project will break ground once 50 to 60 per cent of the units are sold.
