Victoria’s most expensive condo sold

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

Victoria’s most expensive condo has been sold, breaking a new record for the city. The $5 million penthouse unit, located in the James Bay neighbourhood, was previously owned by award-winning music producer David Foster.

Located at 21 Dallas Rd., the 4,226-square-foot home boasts views of the Juan de Fuca Strait and Victoria’s Inner Harbour. At two storeys, the condo features floor-to-ceiling windows, three large bedrooms and a master bedroom with in-floor heating and a walk-in closet. A deck overlooks the city skyline, ocean and mountains.

The home was marketed around the world, and garnered attention from both Canadian and global buyers. Details on the condo, sold by Sotheby’s International Realty Canada listing agent Sophia Briggs, remain private.

“This is a notable sale for the Victoria real estate market, not only because it breaks the record for condo sales, but because the interest that we saw from potential buyers locally and around the world is a very promising indicator for Victoria’s luxury real estate market leading into spring,” says Ross McCredie, president and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Canada.
