Montreal condo development enters construction

Tuesday, December 17, 2013

Construction has started on Devimco Immobilier’s latest project in the Griffintown neighbourhood of downtown Montreal.

The $140-million project, District Griffin sur Peel, is scheduled for partial completion in fall 2015.

The two 15-storey condo towers will soon contain 312 units, ranging from 6251,362 square feet. Building amenities will include a spa, fitness centre and shared patio.

The units will sit atop more than 110,000 square feet of commercial and retail space that will house grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, clothing stores and restaurants.

The building will be situated between Old Montreal, downtown, the Atwater Market and the Lachine Canal.

“A whole new neighbourhood is literally taking shape before our eyes, right next to the city centre and Old Montreal,” says Serge Goulet, CEO of Devimco Immobilier.

District Griffin sur Peel is part of a larger four-phase $850-million development project.
