Van Houtte, a name best known for its coffee, will now be known for its real estate projects.

Groupe Immobilier Van Houtte’s first residential condominium project, Le Liguori, was recognized in November at the Gala Habitation for Western Québec.

The development won the Best New Condo Project under the ACQ Warranty Plan award, due to its outstanding customer satisfaction, landscaping, material quality and overall value.

“I am delighted to see our first project receive such praise from the industry,” says Pierre-Luc Van Houtte, president of Groupe Immobilier Van Houtte.

The eight-storey condominium, completed in spring 2013, is located in Montreal’s Villeray community. The project has 208 units, ranging from 639–1,212 square feet. Le Liguori was built with green materials, and is committed to as much as 30 per cent in building energy savings. It aims to become LEED gold certified.
