Five British Columbians and organizations will be recognized with 2013 Architecture Advocacy Awards, presented by the B.C. Chapter of Architecture Canada.
The recipients are:
- Mayor Gregor Robertson, City of Vancouver
- Leslie Van Duzer, director, University of British Columbia School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture
- Bob Williams, director, Vancity board of directors, former provincial cabinet minister, and chair of ICBC
- Michael Apostolides, Vancouver League for Architecture and the Environment
- Stanley Kwok, architect, urban planner and city builder
Celebrating outstanding citizens who, through their vision and extraordinary efforts in the built environment, have made a significant contribution to society, the 4th annual awards ceremony will take place Nov. 7, with a keynote presentation by distinguished Vancouver architect, James K.M. Cheng.
