Condominium developer, Tridel, and international real estate firm, Hines, have released details of their new condominium development.
Aqualina at Bayside Toronto is the first residential phase of a 13 acre mixed-use master planned development, called Bayside Toronto. Valued at more than $1.1 billion, Bayside will be the first neighbourhood in downtown Toronto to feature two million square feet of residential, commercial and cultural space, all on the water’s edge. The community is part of the revitalization efforts for East Bayfront by Waterfront Toronto.
Miami-based architecture firm, Arquitectonica, is designing the 13-storey condominium, which will be defined by a series of distinctive prismatic cubes made of glass and steel. It will contain 363 one-, two- and three-bedroom units, with suite sizes ranging from 560 square feet to just over 2,100 square feet.
The design team also includes Canada’s II BY IV Design Associates, which is responsible for the condominium’s public spaces and amenity areas, and landscape designers West 8 and DTAH – the team responsible for the design of East Bayfront’s public realm, including the streetscapes, water’s edge promenade and boardwalk.
