Plans set for T.O. hospital patient care tower

Approximately 380,000 square feet of space will be added to the Toronto East General Hospital (TEGH) in the form of a new eight-storey patient care tower. The project, which will include an underground parking lot, courtyard and an additional three-storey expansion, is scheduled for completion in 2023.

T.O. pharmaceutical manufacturer to expand

As a result of a $2.085-million investment from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), a contract manufacturing and drug development research company in Toronto’s North York district will undergo renovations and an expansion. The company, Dalton Pharma Services (Dalton), will also provide $6.3-million in funding to finance the project.

U of Ottawa expands and updates Heart Institute

The University of Ottawa’s Heart Institute is undergoing an expansion to better meet the needs of community members and enhance technological services. The expansion will establish an additional 147,000 square feet of space, including a four-storey state-of-the-art clinical addition. The existing facility is also being redeveloped.

Brampton courthouse to receive major expansion

The Ontario government has committed to funding a state-of-the-art addition for the A. Grenville and William Davis Courthouse in Brampton, Ont. in order to meet the needs of a growing population in the region. The first two floors of the expansion will add new courtrooms, support spaces, judicial chambers and jury courtrooms. The remaining four floors will be reserved for future developments.
