A new Effigis Geo-Solutions Inc. office located in Toronto is intended to raised the Quebec firm’s profile in the GTA and welcome clients and employees. The move comes on the heels of the geospatial solutions firm’s “strong growth” over the past five years, according to a March 25 press release announcing the location’s opening.

“The success we have had with large-scale energy and telecommunications projects has led us to have a more obvious presence in the Greater Toronto Area,” said vice-president – geomatics Claude Levasseur.

The Toronto office, located at 201 Consumers Rd., Suite 308, adds to Effigis’ existing GTA locations in Markham and Ajax.

The new facility, near highways 401 and 404, puts Effigis closer to its Ontario clients and partners. The facility will also accommodate the firm’s growing Toronto team. According to the press release, Effigis hopes to tap into the city’s large pool of qualified high-tech workers.

“This presence will also enable us to gradually offer all products and services from Effigis to companies and public organizations who want to count on a multidisciplinary team of professionals and specialists recognized in the geospatial field.”

The Quebec firm’s geospatial solutions include Earth observation services, geological studies, infrastructure inventory and telecommunications network monitoring. It serves aeronautic, engineering consulting and public administration sectors, among many others.
