Century Group has announced plans to build Ormidale Block, the first new office building in Vancouver’s Gastown neighbourhood in decades.

The property, located at 151 West Hastings St., will be re-designed by B and H Architects. The commercial building will be restored to include the building’s historic facade, and feature 39,500 square feet of commercial space, including four floors of offices and two retail units on the ground floor.

Work on the project is expected to start this spring. It will be ready for occupancy in 2015.
