Cadillac Fairview opens high-end office in B.C.

Tuesday, April 7, 2015

Cadillac Fairview has officially opened its new AAA class office space in the heart of Vancouver as Sony Pictures Imageworks is set to occupy the entire fifth floor as the building’s first tenant.

Located at 725 Granville Street, the space is part of the redevelopment of the former Eatons/Sears building and now offers four floors of office space above a future Nordstrom’s, set to open in September 2015.

Each floor has 17-foot ceilings and 73,000 square foot floor plates, a feature not currently available in the area.

“725 Granville is a unique facility in the downtown core,” said Tom Knoepfel, senior vice-president and portfolio manager of Cadillac Fairview Western Canada. “We look forward to welcoming Microsoft and Miller Thomson to their new office over the course of the next 18 months.”

Microsoft will occupy the sixth and seventh floors later this year, while Miller Thomson will occupy 48,000 square feet of office space on the fourth floor in early 2017.

James K. M. Cheng was the architect behind the design of the building, which is expected to  eventually achieve LEED Gold certification.
